Cities Skyline 2 Lacks a Crucial Piece of the Puzzle
The long-awaited sequel to Cities Skylines, Cities Skylines 2, is finally in the works after an eight-year hiatus. Although no gameplay footage has been unveiled as of yet, Colossal Order assures fans that it will be the most authentic city-building game to date. While it may appear to be a grand assertion, if the studio manages to fulfill its promise, it will reaffirm Cities Skylines’ status as the reigning monarch of urban city builders. Nevertheless, Cities Skylines 2 may encounter some formidable challengers.
During the release of Cities Skylines, urban city builder enthusiasts were left with no alternatives as the SimCity franchise had tanked, leaving fans in despair. Fortunately, Colossal Order stepped in to fill the void, and its game became a massive hit. However, in 2023, the situation is quite distinct, and it might be challenging for Cities Skylines 2 to achieve the same level of success.
