Cities: Skylines 2 is set for release on PC and consoles
Fredrik Wester, the CEO of Paradox Interactive, emphasizes the significance of the Cities franchise in their gaming portfolio, which has been an integral part of their catalog for more than a decade. With millions of copies sold and over 5.5 million new players added last year alone, Cities: Skylines has been an enormous triumph and has paved the way for the development of Cities: Skylines 2.
Cities: Skylines 2 is set to redefine the city-building genre through unparalleled levels of customization and player control, further advancing beyond its predecessor’s achievements. The Paradox Interactive showcase was a veritable feast for gamers, featuring three new games, four expansions, and several gameplay reveals. The event also presented The Lamplighters League, the latest game from Shadowrun Trilogy developer Harebrained Schemes, alongside the much-awaited Cities: Skylines 2 from Colossal Order.
For those eagerly anticipating updates on Victoria 4 and Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, Paradox Interactive had already clarified that neither game would feature in the show. We regret to inform you that this announcement may come as a disappointment.
Prior to the show, many fans were eagerly anticipating the announcement of Cities: Skylines 2 or a similar title. Paradox Interactive had some fun with this expectation, teasing fans on Twitter with a response to a confirmation request, “Uh… confirming a Colossal Order logo in the Paradox Announcement Show?”
