Cities: Skylines 2 – Official Gameplay Trailer
The developer has not only shared the first gameplay trailer but also announced a 24th October release date for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
Back in March, publisher Paradox Interactive officially unveiled the sequel, describing it as a “revolutionary” take on the acclaimed 2015 original and the “most open-ended city-building sandbox on the planet.” However, details on the “fully-realized transport and economy systems” remained scarce.
Thanks to the recent Xbox Games Showcase, we now have our first in-depth look at Cities: Skylines 2 in action. Colossal Order presented a sequel that significantly enhances realism, at least visually.
Attentive viewers may notice other fascinating details, such as snow appearing to be a central feature in the sequel rather than being limited to a DLC map as in the original game. However, Colossal Order and Paradox have yet to provide a comprehensive breakdown of the sequel’s new features.
Stay tuned for more updates on Cities: Skylines 2 before its 24th October release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S later this year.
